Seminar 1 (July 28)

* Title: Dark matter phenomenology at low reheating temperature

* Speaker: Chang Sub Shin (Rutgers University)

* Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss the implication of low reheating temperature on dark matter phenomenology. Especially, when the reheating temperature is low, the early matter domination before radiation dominated era plays an important role to determine the relic abundance of dark matter, and its density perturbation. Solving the detailed Boltzmann equations during matter domination is essential, and interesting properties can be extracted depending on dark matter property, such as momentum dependent freeze-out, generation of isocurvature perturbation during kinetic equilibrium.

 

Seminar 2 (July 29)

* Title: Dark matter with e+e- collider

* Speaker: Kihyeon Cho (KISTI)

* Date: 2:00 PM, July 29(WED) 2015

* Place: CTPU Seminar Room

* Abstract: Let me introduce the dark matter with e+e- collider from a point of an experimental high energy physicist. The current status will be discussed. Let me also introduce the dark matter research cluster which is suggested by National Research Council of Science and Technology.

 

Lecture 1 (July 30)

* Title: Quarkonium and Lattice Gauge Theory

* Speaker: Seyong Kim (Sejong University)

* Date: 3:00 PM, July 30(THU) 2015

* Place: CTPU Seminar Room

* Abstract: By discussing lattice NRQCD calculation of quarkonium properties, we introduce basic concepts of lattice gauge theory and journey through the actual path one needs to take to get numerical result. One topic is bottomonium in thermal environment and the other is non-perturbative property of stoponium in vacuum.

 

Lecture 2 (July 31)

* Title: Computational Aspects of Lattice Gauge Theory

* Speaker: Seyong Kim (Sejong University)

* Date: 1:30 PM, July 31(FRI) 2015

* Place: CTPU Seminar Room

* Abstract: Actual lattice gauge theory calculation involves three steps: (1) obtaining Monte Carlo Data of gauge fields which contribute most to path integral, (2) "measuring" physical quantities using these Monte Carlo gauge field sample, and (3) "post-processing" or analyzing measured physical quantites. In this lecture, we discuss computational aspects of these three steps.
