* Abstract: The search for sharp features in the gamma-ray spectrum is a promising approach to identify a signal from dark matter annihilation over the astrophysical backgrounds. In this talk we review different scenarios leading to sharp gamma-ray spectral features and we discuss the current experiments limits as well as the prospects for detection with future instruments.
