Dear All members,

We are pleased to announce a Journal club by Doh Young Mo.

* Title: Phenomenology of Coleman-Weinberg Higgs Model

* Speaker: Doh Young Mo (CTPU) (at KAIST Munji Campus)

* Date: 3:00~4:00 PM, 19 Nov 2015

* Abstract: We study the phenomenology of Coleman-Weinberg Higgs model. Relatively large mixed quartic couplings of the Higgs with the other scalar(s) can generate large enough beta function for the Higgs quartic coupling which allows the electroweak symmetry breaking even without the Higgs mass term. The immediate prediction of the model is the different shape of Higgs potential. Once the parameters are set by the known vev of the Higgs boson and the measured Higgs boson mass, the Higgs self couplings are predicted to be very different with SM. However, measurement of such deviations may not be possible with LHC alone because of small number of expected events. Thus, we will consider following methods in the future collider and ILC, direct production of SS, wave function renormalization of Higgs boson, Higgs pair production and oblique corrections in electroweak precision tests. Due to methods, constraints and discovery reach will be examined.

We look forward to your participation in the Journal club.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Sung Yeop Na
